The national youth leader of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Pastor (Barr) Samuel Inyang, has admonished youth of the church to conduct themselves in orderly manner and avoid violence related activities in the course of the 2019 general elections.
Pastor Inyang who noted the natural tendency for young people to be restive, pointed that violence does not attract any good development and that as individuals who are constantly being shown the way of God, Apostolic youth should display high sense of tolerance, decency and peaceful disposition, which are expectant of young Christians. He added that only the will of God will prevail over that of men, while expressing optimism that with God, Nigeria will get better someday.
It can be recalled that over the years, electoral violence are usually perpetrated by youth who are either loyal to politicians, or angry at certain happenings during general elections. Lives and properties are often destroyed in the process. This explains why youth of the Apostolic Church Nigeria are discouraged from taking part in violence.
