God’s redemption of Israel is truly loving and marvelous. In His wisdom, He chose Israel and became committed to His identity associated with them throughout the ages. Because we bear God’s name, we must never do anything that will soil it or bring shame to God irrespective of pressure of circumstances.

TEXT: ” Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel; For your sake I will send to Babylon, and bring them all down as fugitives……”- Isaiah 43:14a (KJV)

Isaiah was prophesying primarily of Israel’s return from captivity in Babylon. The broader dimension to it is that God is committed to restoring His children who go through rivers of difficulty. His love will not cause us to drown but make us grow stronger. However, fighting life battles with our own strength will guarantee drowning but God’s presence and empowerment assure us of peace and victory.

It is God’s responsibility to deliver His chosen ones out of troubles but it is our responsibility to depend on Him at all times and in all circumstances.

Faith in God is the antidote to fear in crisis.

1. For the sake of Your name, become a terror to every power and spirit that has vowed not to make me enjoy peace of mind in Jesus’ name.

2. In my fainting situations LORD God, please let me not loose grip of Your presence and peace.

3. In Your mercy LORD, help me not to take Your love for granted in my life.
