“Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah.” Judges11:1

God has a phenomenal destiny in mind for you.. He’s able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us’, remember? (Ephesians 3:20-21). But when the enemy realises what God’s got planned for you, he’ll target exactly the part of your personality God wants to grow. If you’ve spotted parts of yourself that you don’t like, your next move might seem to be to rule yourself out. But those might be precisely the parts that God wants to grow, to change to use. The enemy wants you to spend your life trying to avoid what you don’t want to be, instead of being who God’s called you to be.

Look at Jephthah, in the book of Judges. Jephthah was a son of a prostitute, that’s not something to be happy about. God wanted him to be a mighty warrior. If he had kept looking back in his past identity, he could’ve listened to lies of the enemies and believed he was worthless. But God had chosen Jephthah to judge Over A ‘s people, and against all the force of his history. Jephthah let God choose his identity. So who are u listening to today?

Learn from. Jephthah, don’t allow your background to shape your identity, believe who God says you are.
